It is with gratitude to the many teachers who have brought wisdom traditions forward, and with the intention of continuing to honour the integrity of these arts, that slow + sense and Mindfulness Training Toronto offer these practices to others.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Monica Maurin. Her mindfulness training has given me peace and calmness in my life, which has enhanced my ability to make pivotal decisions for my business. The corporate world moves at an intense pace and taking a few moments to connect with one’s inner voice can be highly valuable for executives of all levels. What would it look like if more corporations invested in the calmness of spirit, rather than squeezing more out of their employees? I have a hunch that productivity and employee retention would be on the rise!

I found Monica online while searching for a meditation training program. As a yoga teacher and business owner, I am often looking for ways to deepen my knowledge and expertise. I had been introduced to mindfulness and meditation in my teacher training but knew there was so much more to learn. What followed after signing on for the Core Program was not just another yoga training, but a profound, life-altering shift in my way of being in the world. Not only did this time with Monica affect the way I transmit wisdom to my students, it has altered the way I function in all of my relationships. I had no idea how transformative my time with Monica would be. I now count Monica as one of my most influential teachers and consider her a mentor, guiding light and friend. I am forever grateful for finding her.

Having worked with Monica for several years I very much enjoy her mindfulness teachings. She has an open heart when it comes to many different techniques and does not impose just one methodology as the correct one. She clearly has years of experience and knows how to tailor the practice to each person. Her communication style is very clear and practical. I highly recommend taking Monica’s course if you get the chance.

Each week, I am more and more impressed by Monica’s depth of knowledge and her ability to share it in a way that is meaningful to both of us. She guides us through each session with grace and professionalism. After only 4 weeks, I am already more easily able to manage the never-ending daily drip of stressors and irritations, my focus at work has improved, and I feel happier. Thanks to Monica, I am spending more time actually living my life and less time worrying about it.
