A Variety of Classes for Different Interests, Spaces & Groups

All classes incorporate a mindful approach to well-being and learning. Mindfulness is the heart of all of the practices we share, including the following customizable and drop-in group sessions:

Mindfulness Meditation & Gentle Yoga/Yoga Nidra Drop-In Classes

Our classes are suitable for beginners as well as those with experience in mindfulness disciplines or other styles of meditation. Join our drop-in classes to learn more about mindfulness, compassion, and Yoga Nidra. You will have the chance to come together with a group to strengthen and inspire your practice.

Drop-in classes include two periods of meditation, as well as a discussion between meditations. There is time for brief questions and answers as well. The meditations are guided by the teacher while participants sit in chairs or on the floor, as is most comfortable. There is no need to change out of business attire for our sessions.

More information is available about our drop-in classes.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for all drop-in classes. Administrative staff is not available onsite at the time of the session. For more information and to register for your sessions, please contact us.

Resources for all participants, including tips and articles, are found through slow + sense. Some group sessions are also supported by guided audio instruction and meditations through Mindfulness Training Toronto.

Mindfulness Meditation & Gentle Yoga/Yoga Nidra Corporate & Private Group Classes

In a corporate or private group setting, we can create a training opportunity for staff or members. Sometimes called Community Groups, these sessions can be a way to foster communication and friendship between people who may not ordinarily meet in their day-to-day roles.

Read about One Executive’s Experience.

Community Group classes are skill-building renewal time. In 60 minutes, either before, during or after the workday, you can learn and practice skills relating to mindfulness meditation and Mindful Yoga/Yoga Nidra, including:

  • Focusing
  • Patience
  • Developing compassionate and inclusive viewpoints
  • Relaxing the body while the mind remains awake and aware
  • Non-judgmental awareness and effective open-minded analysis and problem-solving

To cultivate and strengthen mindfulness skills, it is helpful to spend time daily in your practice. However, many people notice that even learning just once a week with a group, they experience positive changes in their own perceptive abilities and daily habits of mind and body.

More information is available about our corporate programs, one-session wellness workshops, and private group sessions.

Resources for all participants, including tips and articles, are found through slow + sense. Some group sessions are also supported by guided audio instruction and meditations through Mindfulness Training Toronto.

Each week, I am more and more impressed by Monica’s depth of knowledge and her ability to share it in a way that is meaningful to both of us. She guides us through each session with grace and professionalism. After only 4 weeks, I am already more easily able to manage the never-ending daily drip of stressors and irritations, my focus at work has improved, and I feel happier. Thanks to Monica, I am spending more time actually living my life and less time worrying about it.

Monica has the most calming voice and presence I’ve ever experienced during guided meditation. The moment she starts a session, her voice alone makes my entire body and mind relax like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Monica is the epitome of love and light and peace. Thank you, Monica.

I joined your mindfulness sessions so as to quiet my restless mind, especially during nights, and I’m happy to report that it’s working. Thank you for opening up my world to great things that I didn’t take the time to see before and for reawakening the love I have for all the blessings in my life.

Monica has the unique ability to see what most people do not see and brings this intuition into her practice. As a result, I often came away from the session feeling like I had made a shift in my thinking and gained a different presence of mind. Thanks to Monica, I can start my day from a place of peace and now have techniques to bring me back to the present moment when my thoughts get away from me. Learning and working with Monica has been a very helpful and transformative experience. I highly recommend it.

R.K.

Monica was someone that I feel I was meant to meet and interact with. I am typically a very anxious person but by the second session – with the guidance of Monica – I was really able to calm myself down. She has a deep understanding of the human body and how it is meant to work and be treated. I appreciate everything she taught me in those sessions and I still continue to listen to her meditation tapes. I would recommend Monica and the mindfulness class to everyone I know.
